The past year has been a very challenging time for everyone, including our charity.  Throughout the pandemic, we have remained on standby for the people of Wales, supporting our NHS colleagues and playing a big part in the medical response to COVID-19. It is thanks to your incredible generosity that we have been able to do this.

Many of the ways in which we fundraise have had to stop, for now, to prevent the spread of the virus but it does mean that we have seen a significant decrease in the money raised to maintain our lifesaving service.

By taking part in our ‘Walk Wales - Castle to Castle’ challenge, not only will you be maintaining your physical and mental wellbeing, but you will also be playing your part in keeping our helicopters flying.

Walking also has some incredible benefits:

  •  Walking is a great opportunity to reconnect with friends and family (if Government permitted)

  • Walking can improve fitness.

  • Walking is good for our mental health - it can enhance your mood, wellbeing and energy levels, whilst reducing your levels of stress, anxiety and depression.

  • Walking can help lower blood pressure while strengthening your heart and muscles.

If this sounds like something you’d like to do, put on your trainers, walking shoes or slippers and ‘Walk Wales’.
