Our volunteers are an integral part of the Wales Air Ambulance; they provide additional knowledge, skills and ongoing help that supports the Charity across our functions, whether attending fundraising events in the community, helping in our shops or acting as Trustees.

We would not be able to provide our lifesaving services without our volunteers and we trust that you will enjoy your time with us in whatever capacity that you can help with.

Warehouse Volunteer

This role will be based at our busy retail site at Cwmdu in Swansea, which comprises a depot attached to a shop.

The role involves:

Assisting customers who have donated items at our Donations Drop-off Centre, placing items in the correct section and turning down unsaleable items if necessary.
Sorting donated items (including clothes, books, bric-a-brac) into saleable and recycling, checking that they are ready to go on sale and are in clean, working order.
An induction on how to qualify donors for Gift Aid and be tasked with signing up donors for the scheme, processing their items and keeping a log of donations.
Using the computer system to process Gift Aid donations.
Generally, assist with keeping the warehouse tidy and helping with any tasks the warehouse team needs assistance with.
Abide by all Health and Safety responsibilities at all times.
